The very best of Windsor & Maidenhead’s voluntary and community life was celebrated in style at the inaugural VCS Partnership Awards 2025. Held on Tuesday 2nd December at the elegant Taplow Court, the event brought together more than 80 guests — volunteers, charity representatives, community organisers, and civic leaders — for an uplifting evening recognising the people and groups who work tirelessly to make the borough more connected, compassionate, and resilient.

The Awards were hosted by the Royal Borough’s Voluntary & Community Sector Partnership in Windsor & Maidenhead, a collaboration involving the Windsor & Maidenhead Interfaith Forum (WAMCF), the Royal Borough Council , Adult Learning, Berkshire Community Foundation, I Love Windsor CIC, and WAM Get Involved. The partnership was established to strengthen local VCS organisations and help them thrive, ensuring residents benefit from a vibrant, supported civic sector.

Guests were welcomed into the stunning surroundings of Taplow Court with a relaxed drinks reception and a selection of light bites, accompanied by live piano music from acclaimed musician Francis Haines. The atmosphere set the tone for an evening dedicated to celebration, gratitude, and community pride.

Three award categories took centre stage:
Volunteer of the Year 🏅, presented by the Mayor, Cllr Mandy Brar, recognised an exceptional individual alongside two highly commended nominees.

Young Volunteer of the Year 🌟, presented by Maeve Flanagan of Tempo Maidenhead, celebrated the inspirational contributions of younger residents.

Group of the Year 👥, awarded by the Chief Executive of RBWM Council, honoured a standout organisation as well as two highly commended groups making remarkable local impact.

Reflecting on the night, partnership representative Paul Samuels shared heartfelt thanks:
“Tonight we recognise the people and organisations whose dedication strengthens our community every single day. Their generosity, passion, and perseverance make Windsor & Maidenhead a better place for everyone.”
