Volunteering

Slough CVS supports residents to find volunteering opportunities that match their interests and availability and also provides charitable groups in Slough with training, advice and support with volunteer recruitment. 

Simply Connects is Slough CVS’s volunteer recruitment system, designed to help organisations recruit, manage and track volunteer activity across Slough. Voluntary and community sector organisations are encouraged to post their volunteering opportunities on the platform.

Residents interested in volunteering can register their details and preferences on the site and explore a wide range of local opportunities — from one-off community events and telephone befriending for isolated residents, to activities that improve the local environment, such as litter picking.

A dedicated Volunteer Officer is also available to provide additional support to both community groups and residents, helping them connect with suitable opportunities and make the most of their volunteering experience.

People can volunteer as much or as little time as they wish, using their existing skills, learning new ones, building connections and making a meaningful difference in their community.
