Volunteer Passport Scheme Training

The Volunteer Passport Scheme is a Slough initiative, which offers a series of four short training modules exploring the key areas all volunteers need to successfully volunteer with clients. These modules give participants the basic skills, awareness, confidence and knowledge required to volunteer. The training modules can be booked in any order and take place at the Main Room, 29 Church Street, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 1PL.

Becoming a trustee training session

Are you interested in becoming a trustee but not sure where to begin?

Slough CVS is running a short evening session about the becoming a trustee, looking at the responsibilities involved and the benefit to you and the organisation you will support. Use your skills and experience to help a local Charity to achieve its aims and in turn learn new skills from them too. Trustees are volunteers who play a vital leadership role in any charity.

The training will cover:

  • Why become a trustee/ benefits of being a trustee
  • Why trustees are so critical for charities.
  • What is a charity/legal structures
  • What is a trustee/roles and responsibilities of a trustee
  • What is the difference between management and governance
  • Running an effective charity

So whether you are new to the role are are interested in a refresher session for yourself or your Trustees attend this valuable session, led by experienced trainer, Lisa Cunningham.
