On 8th May 2026, I had the extraordinary privilege of attending the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace—an experience that was as humbling as it was unforgettable.
Stepping through the palace gates and into the beautifully kept gardens felt like entering a living piece of history. But what made the day truly remarkable wasn’t just the grandeur of the setting; it was the people who filled it. Guests from all walks of life, each recognised for their dedication, service, and contributions to their communities, came together in a celebration of quiet heroism and collective impact.
The atmosphere was one of warmth, gratitude, and genuine appreciation. Conversations flowed easily among strangers who shared a common thread: a commitment to making a difference. Being surrounded by so many inspiring individuals was a powerful reminder of the strength found in community and the importance of service, no matter how big or small.
The Royal Garden Party was not just an honour—it was a moment of reflection. A reminder that recognition is never the goal, but it is a deeply meaningful affirmation of the work we do and the values we carry forward.
It was a day I will always treasure.
