Training arranged for the team at Slough Refugee Support

The training team at Slough CVS arranged a special Volunteer Passport Safeguarding session for Slough Refugee Support (SRS) this week.

The team from SRS presented Helen Buckland, Risk and Exploitation Officer for the Community Safety Team, Slough Borough Council with a lovely bunch of flowers and said, “A big thank you to Helen for her very informative training session on Safeguarding for our staff, volunteers and trustees today. Such an important topic.”

There are a number of SCVS training opportunities coming up in the next few months, many run in conjunction with other voluntary sector groups, funders, specialists and the statutory sector.

A couple of upcoming ones are: Employment Law Advice and Understanding Addictions run by Turning Point and Gamcare. A list of all training sessions can be found at https://bit.ly/Slough_WAM_training_events
