Slough’s brightest community champions took centre stage at the #OneSlough Awards 2025, a dazzling celebration infused with 1920s glamour and heartfelt appreciation. Held on Friday 14th November at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport T5 Hotel, the evening brought together more than 230 guests — from volunteers and community leaders to local organisations and businesses — all united in honouring those who make Slough stronger, healthier and safer.

Organised by Slough CVS, the annual awards evening shone a spotlight on the unwavering spirit, unity, and resilience that define the town. With a record-breaking 159 nominations this year, judges faced the inspiring challenge of selecting winners from an extraordinary pool of individuals and groups dedicated to improving life in Slough.
Guests were welcomed with a lively drinks reception before enjoying a Mediterranean-inspired meal and a night of entertainment that captured the spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Performances included saxophonist and clarinettist Viktoria Ann Munn, magician Patrick Ashe M.M.C, and a Great Gatsby–inspired dance performance by the Creative Academy — all setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration.
The ceremony was co-hosted by Sbba Siddique, Director of Asian Star Radio, and Gunveen Kaur from the Slough Youth Parliament, representing the next generation of community leaders. Opening remarks were shared by Asma Aziz, CEO of Slough CVS, followed by a keynote address from Will Tuckley, CEO of Slough Borough Council.
Representatives from across the town — including Slough Borough Council, the NHS, Slough BID, Thames Valley Police, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Slough Children First, Resource Productions, and Together As One — presented 26 awards and certificates, celebrating outstanding contributions across a wide range of community initiatives.
Reflecting on the evening, Asma Aziz expressed her gratitude:
“Tonight, we honour those who have gone above and beyond to make Slough a better place for everyone. These volunteers, organisations, and businesses have given generously of their time, resources, and dedication to uplift our community. Their commitment has made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for each and every one of them.”
As the final notes of the evening’s disco filled the air, one message resonated clearly: Slough thrives because of its people. The #OneSlough Awards continue to stand as a powerful testament to the town’s compassion, collaboration, and community spirit — ensuring that kindness and unity remain at the heart of Slough’s story.
