Slough CVS recently collaborated with Frimley NHS to host an informative session aimed at strengthening support for local communities.
The event brought together a series of insightful presentations, offering a deeper understanding of the current landscape of community health and the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing emerging needs.
Frimley NHS kicked off the session with an overview of their ongoing initiatives and the evolving ways services are adapting to better meet community demands. The team from The Britwell Hub followed with a presentation on their neighbourhood hub model, showcasing how strong partnerships and accessible services can drive meaningful change for local residents. Slough Public Health also contributed by presenting key local health data, offering a clear picture of the factors shaping community wellbeing, and outlining how this information can guide targeted, effective support.
The presentations sparked engaging table discussions, where attendees brainstormed ideas for shaping neighbourhood health and identified the unique challenges faced by local residents and communities.
Participants praised the event for its value, highlighting the combination of data-driven insights, practical examples, and opportunities for shared learning. Many were particularly encouraged by the collective effort to work together towards common goals.
Asma Aziz, CEO of Slough CVS, commented: “The session provided practical insights, sparked lively discussions, and laid a strong foundation for continued partnership work aimed at improving outcomes for residents.
