Wellbeing Prescribing

Wellbeing Prescribing is a service where partners refer residents to a link worker to co-produce a non-clinical prescription. The prescription links residents to activities and support in the community that may benefit them and is particularly effective in helping individuals to manage long-term conditions, mental health problems and social isolation. The voluntary and community sector (VCS) plays a crucial role in the service by delivering the activities and groups that make up the prescription. Referrals to the service are currently made through GP practices, Adult Social Care and Neighbourhood Services. Slough Carers Support is part of the Wellbeing Prescribing Service at Slough CVS.
