WAMCF 45th Anniversary Summer Evening

The Windsor and Maidenhead Community Forum (WAMCF) celebrated its 45th anniversary with a wonderful Summer Reception. The event brought together faith representatives, community leaders, dignitaries and local residents to celebrate unity and collaboration.

Held at Norden Farm’s Long Barn, the reception marked a special milestone for WAMCF.  Around 80 guests attended, reflecting the strong community spirit that has been at the heart of the organisation since its founding in 1981.

Members of WAM Get Involved and other attendees enjoyed the opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds. They reflected on past and present experiences and shared fond memories.  Everyone had a wonderful evening and looked forward to the many years ahead of friendship support and collaboration.

The new chair Nimi Johal paid tribute to the five founders, particularly Mr Karnail Pannu.  Mr Pannu’s commitment and dedication had been instrumental in keeping WAMCF’s values alive for over 44 years. His unconditional devotion to serving the community was truly remarkable.

Mr Pannu recorded a message of gratitude and love, expressing how he and the founders could never have imagined reaching this significant milestone. He thanked everyone for their contributions to WAMCF’s success and wished them all a wonderful evening.
