The #OneSlough Awards which will celebrate the achievements of local voluntary and community groups, volunteers and statutory and business partnerships in Slough, is back, so save the date, Friday 15 November 2024!
How to nominate
Visit the Awards website by the 22 July 2024 deadline and get writing those winning entries. Don’t forget to read the criteria which gives you top tips with your submissions!
There are 4 categories, 15 Awards in total!
Business Impact Award – This Award is for charities to nominate businesses that have helped them make a contribution to Slough’s community, for example through sponsorship, volunteering, in-kind support, mentoring or training. Nominate now!
Volunteer of the Year – Five Award categories for volunteers, aged 16 and over who make an exceptional and outstanding contribution to Slough in the areas of:
- Supporting children and young people
- Making a difference to the environment
- Championing health and wellbeing
- Breaking down barriers within disability/mental health
- Improving the lives of older people
Public Sector Partnerships Awards – Four Award categories for public sector workers to recognise a charity/group that they have referred to most or have made a big impact to their work.
- Slough Borough Council (SBC)
- National Health Service (NHS)
- Thames Valley Police (TVP)
- Other
Group of the Year – Five Group categories for groups that have made the biggest impact on the community in Slough during 2022-23 in the areas of:
- Supporting children and young people
- Making a difference to the environment
- Developing innovative projects
- Improving health & wellbeing
- Breaking down barriers within disability/mental health

All those shortlisted will receive a free ticket to the awards which includes a glamorous dinner/dance, with a welcome reception, Asian style banquet and live entertainment. The chocolate fountain will be back too!
