Cardo are thrilled to report the success of the recent Community Action Day at Langley’s Harvey Park in Tamar Way, Slough. This impactful event was a collaborative effort involving SBC, Cardo, Slough Anti-Litter Society, Royal Mail, Safer Slough Partnership and local organisations. The day was further enhanced by the spirited participation of local grassroots football club, Hurricane FC.

The event kicked off with a health and safety briefing by Tirza, from the Slough Anti-Litter Society. Cardo’s Social Value Manager, Sairah, distributed high-vis waistcoats and litter picks to young volunteers, who worked diligently to clean the park and its vicinity. Their hard work highlighted the strong community dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

We are particularly grateful for the involvement of Hurricane FC, whose participation underscores their commitment to community well-being. A Hurricane FC representative stated, “We encourage our kids to participate in community-related events, especially those focused on keeping the environment clean and safe.”

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Royal Mail for their invaluable contribution to the park’s clean-up. Their efforts were instrumental in the day’s success.

Local resident Mariam from Tamar Way expressed her appreciation, commenting, “I took my son out to play with his kite and noticed that the park looks really great!”
