Around 100 carers of all ages enjoyed a buffet lunch on Saturday 17 June at the Mencap building, organised by Slough Carers Support in partnership with Slough Younger Carers and Together as One.
Carers joined from all walks of life and included those from community groups in Slough, creating a supportive space for all. The event celebrated the invaluable contributions of unpaid carers, providing them with opportunities for connection, respite, and recognition.
Zhora Jefferies, Cippenham Carers said “As well as providing guidance and information, these sort of events give people the opportunity to meet other carers. It can mean so much for somebody just to hear the words ‘I know what you mean!’”.
