What a vibrant collaboration between Slough BID and Slough Anti-Litter Society, at the Upcycle Fashion Show. Together, they transformed fashion and promoted sustainability, one creative design at a time.
The weather was dry, DJ, Stevoss Music-Media was dropping beats, and Leśna Polana + Dhol Collective got everyone hyped for the show! The models were stunning and the diversity in outfits was truly inspiring. Claire Giacobbe was such a glamorous presenter, and the judges were fantastic and Kinga Zdybel’s performance was incredible!
Big congrats to all the well-deserving winners and thank you to all the amazing volunteers who made this day possible! e hope to be back next year!
Winners (pictured above)
- Shyla – Winner 13-19 year old – She created a 2 piece Indian inspired outfit with a long, blue flowy skirt and matching burgundy fitted blouse. The material she used was a old slightly damaged sari
- Nicky (Knit Your Socks Off) – Winner age 20+ – She created a skirt and top from an old dress and t-shirts which were destined for the charity shop. Also she knitted a bag with strips from old t-shirts which were unsuitable for a charity shop because they were old, worn, torn or stained.
