On Sunday 26th June, #OneSlough volunteers got a little wet on the river! Over 30 volunteers and their family and friends met up at the Jubilee Riverside Centre to spend the afternoon enjoying a BBQ, great company, sunshine and kayaking on the river.Volunteers had the opportunity to get out onto the river after a full debrief from trained professionals where they then spent over an hour kayaking, finishing it off with a little water fight and eating a delicious BBQ.“I had a brilliant time at the Jubilee Riverside Centre as a thank you from #OneSlough,’’ said volunteer Jen Simpson. It was great fun on the water, lovely food, lots of laughter and fab company.”#OneSlough Volunteer Team Coordinator Qudsia Rahim said, ‘’It was such an enjoyable and relaxed afternoon. It was so nice to see so many people come out with their family and friends and just have some fun!’’Volunteer Camilla Benjamin said, ‘’All dietary requirements were catered for, everyone had fun and there was lots of sun and laughter.
