Partnership Working between the Integrated Care Board, the NHS and voluntary groups in Slough

Ilona Blue from the Integrated Care Board and Sangeeta Saran and Mike Woolridge from NHS Slough Place Team visited Slough CVS to engage with community groups including The Slough Hub, Together as One and Slough Refugee Support. Discussions revolved around understanding the needs of Slough communities, including refugees, and exploring collaborative efforts to enhance service provision.

During the visit, Sandy Wilson, a client of Marinela’s wonderful ‘Arts Class Group’, shared her perspective on receiving support from the voluntary sector, highlighting the positive impact of art on her health.The group also visited Turning Point, to discuss supporting the needs of rough sleepers, refugeesĀ and homeless individuals. Despite the rain, they walked down Slough High Street to view local artists’ works, supported by The Slough Hub.Sangeeta, Mike, and Ilona expressed gratitude for the valuable insights and input from the voluntary sector, aiming to make a significant impact in addressing health issues across Slough.
