Slough Council for Voluntary Service’s Wellbeing Friends project has been selected to take part in Tesco’s Healthy Starts initiative, which supports charities and community groups across the UK.
The programme, run in partnership with Tesco Stronger Starts, provides funding to organisations that promote health and wellbeing. Slough CVS is among those set to benefit, helping to improve services for local residents.
The Wellbeing Friends project, aims to support individuals in the community by promoting health, wellbeing, and social connection. Volunteers, known as Wellbeing Friends, provide a telephone support and signposting to services to those who may be feeling isolated or in need of support.
Shoppers can support Slough CVS and other local charities by donating at their nearest Tesco store in Slough.
