What an incredible night it was!
On Thursday, 25th April, the Copthorne Hotel played host to a truly inspiring event — the Mayor of Slough’s Fundraising Gala, a heartwarming evening dedicated to celebrating community spirit, compassion, and the tireless work of local charities.

Samina Hussain, Founder of Sakoon Through Cancer said: “A huge thank you to Vartika and the Mayor’s Events Team for inviting Sakoon Through Cancer to be part of this memorable night. We had a fantastic time, connecting with changemakers, sharing powerful stories, and shining a light on the difference kindness can make.”

The evening was a celebration and also a significant show of support for the Mayor’s chosen cause, Slough Homeless Our Concern (SHOC) — a charity deeply cherished within the community for its crucial work supporting the homeless.
