Vaccination push in Slough as we learn to live with COVID-19

Robert Ingram having his jab on the vaccination busA new #OneSlough Vaccination Bus has been launched in the town, in addition to the vaccination centres, to encourage people, to get a jab.  Nancy Barber, East Berks Primary Care OOH, said: “This is a great partnership opportunity, working together to go into the community. The bus is fully equipped with two vaccination stations and fully trained vaccinators. You do not need to show proof of address, immigration status or have a GP. If you have any concerns about having the Covid-19 jab, please come and talk to us for more information.”Robert Ingram was one of the first people to be vaccinated on Thursday when the bus was parked at Britwell Café, for the Social Prescribing Day event. He said: “I work up and down the country so it has taken me a while to get the booster but it is key to protecting your loves ones and the people around you. We need to get as much of the country and the world vaccinated. In getting the country out working and back on track, the vaccine system has been fantastic”.Keep an eye on our Facebook page for news of where the vaccination bus will be stopping next.
