On Monday 29 July the team at GoodGym Slough celebrated their 6 year anniversary of doing good and getting fit in Slough.
Area Activator Manjit was only expecting 10 members to come along to a clean up task at St Mary’s Church on Church St, yet to her surprise 10 further members came along to boost the session.
Manjit said: “It was amazing to have members who first joined us back in 2018 come along to our anniversary task on Monday. For 6 years now we have engaged with the community and helped so many community groups and charities with one off tasks from cleaning, gardening, litter picking, wrapping gifts, sorting through cupboards to painting, sanding and fixing items. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved. We embrace everything we do with a happy smile and open heart and love the give back we provide to Slough.”
We celebrated our 6th anniversary with our own version of the Olympics. A bit of fun every Monday evening is good for your soul.
We represent GoodGym Slough in many local races and although we love running, we equally like walking!
