It’s week 2 of the food partnership to deliver meals to vulnerable residents in Slough. Slough Freemasons have been providing the meals and delivering to central Slough and the Community Development Team at Slough Borough Council have been delivering them. Here’s a thank you from Lin Smeaton, who runs Recycled Teenagers with her husband Tony.
“On behalf of the Recycled Teenagers committee and members, we would like to say a great BIG THANK YOU to all that are involved with the dinner deliveries, from Slough Freemasons who donated the hot food and all the fantastic members of the Community Development Team of Slough Borough Council team going round in all types of weather to deliver them. We get so much great feedback from our members by phone, text and Facebook.
There is so much appreciation from them all, the meals are really tasty, but on top of that, it is also about someone knocking on their door, having a chat, knowing someone is thinking and caring about them that makes such a difference to their lives and makes their day a bit brighter. Nearly all our members have now been in isolation since March, so people delivery food to their door means a great deal for them. Our thanks and appreciation to everyone involved.”
