At Maidenhead Community Watch (MCW), we carry out home security assessments to help local residents feel safer in their own homes — especially older and more vulnerable people. Because we’re working directly with people in their homes, we know how important it is to have strong governance in place. That means clear policies, sensible processes and everyone understanding what their role is and how we do things properly.
Before we bring new volunteers on board, we make sure they’re fully trained, DBS‑checked and well prepared to carry out the role safely and confidently. This protects the people we support and gives our volunteers all the confidence they need. We’ve also recently taken part in strategic governance training at WAM GI, which provided timely reassurance that we have been operating to the required high standards. This will enable us to continue to focus on what we care about most — providing a safe, trusted and reliable service for the Maidenhead community.
Maidenhead Community Watch is always keen to connect with residents who want to get involved, support safer homes, or find out more about free home security assessments. Whether you’re interested in becoming a volunteer or simply want advice to help protect your home, MCW would love to hear from you.
