Celebrating the Slough Together Walk 2021

The Rotary Club of Slough ran their annual Slough Together Walk in August 2021, to help local charities and groups to raise some much-needed funds.

Their Awards Dinner took place on 25 November at the Copthorne Hotel to celebrate and present their Incentive Awards to a number of individual and group participants. Guests included the Mayor of Slough, Councillor Mohammed Nazir and Tan Dhesi, MP for Slough (pictured above), who both took part in the Slough Together Walk this year.

The winners of the awards for the most money raised by a Charity and the Charity with the most walkers on the day, were formally presented with their cheques by Rotary President, Tom Conlin.

The winners were:

Most walkers prize – The Mayors Group
Second most walkers – The Woman and Child in Need Charity
The individual most money raised winner – The South Bucks Riding for the Disabled Charity
The second most money raised – The ABC’s and Rice Charity

Next year’s Slough Together Walk was also announced at the event
– 30 April 2022.

It’s a fun day with refreshments, food and entertainment as well as an opportunity to collect sponsorship for your charity or group, all organised by the Rotary Club of Slough.
