On 9 March, an amazing £624.20 was raised for Target Ovarian Cancer at the Clothes Swap during the International Women’s Day event at Queensmere Shopping Centre.

Tirza Meinema from Slough Anti-Litter Society said: “This incredible event was made possible with amazing community partners! Slough Anti-Litter Society, Good Gym, and Slough Bid kept the clothes swap running smoothly with a quality-based token system for donations. They were there to help everyone find their perfect pre-loved treasures! Delicious home-baked treats and hot drinks fuelled the day, thanks to the talented ladies from Knit Your Socks Off! Feeling empowered and inspired? That’s thanks to Claire Giacobbe and Bep Dhaliwal who led a fantastic workshop on style and resilience. The powerful panel talk, led by Sbba Siddique from Asian Star Radio, perfectly captured the International Women’s Day theme of “Inspire Inclusion.
Special thanks to our amazing volunteers who made it all possible! We couldn’t have done it without your hard work and dedication.”
