Community Calm Expands to Herschel Park

Community Calm has opened its third site at Herschel Park, offering a safe, supportive space for Slough residents transitioning out of formal care to recover, reconnect, and rebuild confidence through nature-based activities. Located close to Upton Hospital, the hub aims to work closely with those leaving care, supporting their reintegration into the community.

The programme, which provides gardening, gentle walks, conservation projects, and peer support sessions, works alongside NHS social prescribing teams to help individuals experiencing isolation, anxiety, or other challenges.

“This new space represents a huge step forward in making eco-therapy accessible to more people in Slough,” said Meena Kalsi, Founder and Director of Community Calm.

The expansion has been made possible thanks to National Lottery players and #OneSlough grant funding, whose support has helped bring this vital community resource to life.
