Commuting all the way from Wokingham and Twyford, Tony and Jeremy never miss their weekly shift at Salt Hill Activity Centre.
Often mistaken for brothers because of their surname, the two friends have been commuting together coming to Slough since December 2021 to help get the community jabbed.
“We wanted to give something back to the community and help out!” both Tony and Jeremy said.
Jeremy continued: “When I went for my jab in Reading, I saw parking stewards and volunteers helping out, so I thought why not do the same to help out. I volunteered nearer to home, but it’s just not the same as it is here, that’s why I like coming to Slough.”
‘It is very enjoyable and we are really impressed with how well everything is set up and well organised, with the #OneSlough team and the Three Rings app to sign up on shifts.”
Tony said, “Sometimes it can be tricky making sure patients have enough gap between doses, but it helps that everything is written down and staff are very helpful if ever I have a question.”
