#OneSlough Awards – Less than one month to go!

The #OneSlough Awards are dedicated to recognising the outstanding contributions of local voluntary and community groups, volunteers, and partnerships across Slough. These awards highlight the efforts of those who work tirelessly to improve the community, from individual volunteers to impactful business and public sector collaborations.

In June, the nomination process was opened to the public, and we are thrilled to announce that we received an impressive 134 nominations across four categories:

  • Group of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Business Impact Award
  • Public Sector Partnerships Award

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and helped spread the word. Your participation demonstrates the vibrant spirit of community and collaboration in Slough.

Our judging panel, including the Leader of Slough Borough Council (SBC), the Mayor of Slough, representatives from the NHS, SBC officers, and local business leaders, faced the challenging task of selecting finalists from a pool of truly inspiring nominees. After careful deliberation, they have now chosen the shortlist.

Those shortlisted have been contacted and invited to the #OneSlough Awards Evening, set to take place in November. During this exciting event, we will celebrate the finalists and reveal the winners in each category.

Our shortlist will be revealed in the lead-up to the #OneSlough Awards Night. If you didn’t get a chance to secure a ticket, don’t worry! We’ll be sharing the winners’ announcements on our social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn – after the event.

Be sure to follow us for all the latest updates and join us in celebrating the incredible achievements of our community!
