Royals volunteer at The Baby Bank

A few weeks ago, The Baby Bank received a visit from Catherine, Princess of Wales. She made a return visit this week bringing some additional volunteers with her.
The Princess of Wales and her three children came for an after-school visit. They helped to prepare Christmas pyjama packs and gifts.

Rebecca Mistry, Co-CEO, The Bank Bank said:
“They also helped to pack clothes for some of referrals with Prince George packing a bag for a ten-year-old boy, which was collected the next morning by a social worker. Princess Charlotte packed a bag for a baby girl. She was then delighted to discover a Welsh vest and sleepsuit in the girl’s box — we didn’t know that this was in the box! Prince Louis packed a fab bag of toys for a little boy living in the hotel.
“We spent time explaining what we did as an organisation and why we set up. They worked very hard, and they are welcome back anytime.  We were very honoured to have a return visit from the Princess of Wales, along with her young children to help with our Christmas campaign. It was a fantastic surprise for our volunteers.
“The visit was to highlight the work of Baby Banks around the country and so far, we have had lots of volunteer inquiries and requests.”

In an official video this week the Princess says to Prince George: “You can see how rewarding this work is, knowing that you’re helping out others.”
