Safeguarding Adults Week, a national initiative led by the Ann Craft Trust is taking place from the 17th-21st November 2025. The theme for this year is Prevention, Act Before Abuse, encouraging everyone to recognise the signs of abuse and take action early to protect adults at risk.
Throughout the week, there will be a series of free online seminars exploring key safeguarding topics including:
- Learnings from gambling in sport
- Preventing abuse: Everyone Everywhere
- Preventing forced marriage
- Creating safer, empowering environments
- A holistic approach to prevention in sport
Locally, the Slough Safeguarding Partnership will host a stall at The Curve on Thursday 20th November, 9am–1pm, where residents can find information, advice, and support on safeguarding adults in our community.
There will also be a dedicated training session for professionals – What to do if an adult needs help – offering practical guidance for those working with adults and families in Slough.
Join us in supporting a culture of safety and respect where everyone can live free from abuse and neglect.
Together, we can make Slough a safer place for all adults.
