Sangeet Group Slough recently hosted a vibrant cultural event celebrating Unity, Harmony, and Cooperation, featuring an exciting blend of music and dance. The evening kicked off with a lively Dhol demonstration, followed by energetic Punjabi folk singing and dancing by the women of The Sangeet Group Slough. Sikandar Beg then captivated the audience with a beautiful folk dance from Northern Pakistan.
The second half of the event showcased 18 talented singers who left the crowd in awe with flawless performances of Bollywood and Pakistani music.
The event was a huge success, with all tickets selling out in advance and more than half the audience being women. Some attendees were so moved by the performances that they couldn’t resist dancing in front of the stage!
Saida Mughol shared that “Feedback from our performers was glowing, with many expressing pride in being part of The Sangeet Group and gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their talent.”
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Saida Mughol and Rahi Bains for their dedication and hard work in organising this event, which helps tackle isolation and loneliness, especially among South Asian women. It was a fantastic event, and we look forward to many more in 2025!
