Sisterhood Community Bike Ride Launches in Slough with Inspiring Show of Unity and Empowerment

The Sisterhood Community Bike Ride officially launched in Slough this week, marking a successful and inspiring start to a new initiative aimed at empowering women through cycling.

The launch event brought together women from across the community to enjoy the outdoors, build confidence, and support one another in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Carmella Khadijah, founder of the Sisterhood Community, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Cycle Sisters UK on this exciting new journey—empowering women to get active, build confidence, and enjoy cycling outdoors.

“It was truly inspiring to see so many sisters join us. From conquering the hills with strength to the amazing encouragement from Sarah Javaid and her ride leaders, the sense of support and unity was felt throughout.

“A big shoutout to Julie Siddiqi for making this possible and for being such a valuable force in the community—empowering growth and bringing like-minded women together to collaborate and thrive.

“Seeing women come together, uplift one another, and share this experience was something really special.”

The initiative highlights the power of community-led programmes in creating safe, supportive spaces for women to connect, grow, and stay active.
