Slough CVS Awards Microgrants to Local Groups to Support Development of First Faith Compact

Slough CVS is pleased to share an update on the Faith Compact Microgrant Fund, which forms part of our ongoing work to support the development of a Slough Faith Compact, in partnership with Slough Borough Council and local faith and community partners.

Following a strong response from voluntary and community groups, the funding panel has now completed its review, and all applicants have been informed of the outcome.

Grants of up to £1,000 have been awarded, with funded activity to be delivered by 31st May 2026. The funding panel included representatives from Slough Borough Council, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Slough Youth Parliament, ensuring a broad and informed assessment process.

Successful groups will now begin work aligned to the fund’s key priorities:

  • Inclusion & Relationship Building
  • Building Skills & Leadership
  • Faith Compact & Shared Activities

This work will directly inform the drafting and development of Slough’s first Faith Compact, a framework designed to strengthen collaboration between faith organisations, community groups, and the council.

We look forward to working closely with the successful organisations, as we collectively shape a meaningful and sustainable Faith Compact for Slough.

Successful groups from this funding were:

  • Beat Routes
  • Slough Museum
  • The Ramblers
  • The Slough Job Creation Hub CIC (aka Viva Slough)
  • Together As One
