Thank you to everyone who joined the Slough Community Networking Forum at Langley Community Centre. It was fantastic to see so many representatives from local organisations and community groups coming together to connect, share ideas, and learn more about the support available across Slough’s voluntary sector.
The forum highlighted the wide range of services, training, governance, funding and volunteering support provided by Slough CVS to help strengthen and support local organisations and volunteers. Attendees had the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and explore ways to collaborate and build stronger community connections.
The event also marked the re-launch of the qSimple Quality Protects (SQP) uality assurance programme, introduced alongside outgoing Mayor of Slough Cllr Dauti. In addition, the Mayor presented Volunteer Passport certificates to participants who had successfully completed all five Volunteer Passport modules.
Several upcoming Slough CVS events and opportunities were also showcased during the session, including:
- Meet the Funder – Berkshire Community Foundation on 20th May
- #OneSlough Volunteer Fair taking place on 10th June
- Upcoming training sessions such as Faith & Cultural Training – Celebrating Life’s Milestones in Faith on 2nd June and the Volunteer Passport Training running Face-to-Face from 3rd June to 1st July
