Slow Cooking Success at Slough Asian Carers’ Community Centre

It was a heartwarming final session of the slow cooking course at Slough Asian Carers’ Community Centre, where participants celebrated the completion of six enjoyable sessions organised by Slough CVS.

The course introduced carers to the benefits of slow cooking, from preparing healthy and delicious meals to saving time, energy, and money. To support their continued cooking journey, each participant was gifted a free slow cooker at the end of the programme.

Pushpa Kharbanda, Asian Carers Lead, expressed her appreciation, saying: “Asian Carers have learnt how to save energy and save money using slow cookers after these cookery sessions, thanks to Slough CVS.”

The sessions were not only practical but also created a warm sense of community, bringing carers together to share experiences and learn new skills that will benefit them and their families for years to come.
