The Pink Roti Club 🎀October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is a time to raise awareness, share stories, and paint the world pink — and this month’s Pink Roti Club gathering was extra special.

We’re so proud of what we created together — a space filled with knowledge, nourishment, and heartfelt connection.

Highlights from the event:

We heard from lymphoedema expert Joshila Devile, a passionate physiotherapist who shared essential information on care and prevention.

We proudly launched our Sakoon Through Cancer wristbands:
“No Needles or BP on this Arm” — a vital reminder for survivors during medical appointments.

The amazing Rosie and her son Sufian shared their powerful journey. As a double thriver, Rosie has faced two different cancer diagnoses and now gives back as a volunteer with Sakoon Through Cancer. Truly inspiring.

Shared with love:

A delicious spread of homemade Algerian food lovingly prepared by AJ Café Britwell.

For dessert, we indulged in pink vegan cupcakes, shortbread, and endless cups of chai and tea.

In the spirit of the season, we also celebrated Diwali — a blessing of light and connection — with sweet chocolate delights.

This gathering was a beautiful blend of awareness, community, and culture — a true reminder that healing happens in many forms.
