On Wednesday 13th November, 15 enthusiastic volunteers from Travelport, a worldwide travel retail platform headquartered in Langley, descended on Herschel Park to support The Slough Hub on their Wildlife Trail project.
The volunteers, supported by The Slough Hub team, the Parks and Allotment Department and the Friends of Herschel Park, helped install 13 wooden animal carvings in the park, to create a vibrant wildlife trail. All the volunteers got stuck in painting, digging and preparing the sites, followed by installing the carvings and supporting the parks team with any other jobs required.
“Hope that we helped bring the park to life! A great day and felt we achieved a lot!”
“Fantastic day! Thank you so much – we will be back – with more people!”
“We all had a great day and thank you to you, Tagreed at Slough CVS and everyone at The Slough Hub for your support on the day.”
